Vince Gill, Amy Grant expecting baby (excerpt from The Tennessean) :
Vince Gill surprised a Ryman crowd Tuesday night by announcing his new bride, singer Amy Grant, is three months pregnant.
The child will be Gill's second and Grant's fourth.
Gill said from stage that the baby's due at the end of March next year.
He then got a laugh when he reminded the crowd the two were married March 10 this year.
Gill's publicist said today that the couple has no names picked out, nor do Gill and Grant know the baby's gender.
Tuesday night's show was a private concert, attended by about 1,100.

Amy and Vince Gill are helping to bring women's professional golf back to Nashville by hosting the LPGA Electrolux USA Championship.
The tournament will be held in Nashville and will be televised nationally by the CBS Network.

Amy will spend a good part of the summer in the studio with Keith Thomas recording new songs for her upcoming album.
The buzz around Nashville is that it will be ready for a possible Fall release.
Furthermore she recently re-cut "Child of God" which was available as a bonus cd for "A Christmas to Remember" available through
Family Christian Bookstores last year.
The new version is produced by Monroe Jones ("Third Day", "Ginny Owens", "Chris Rice") and will be available on an
upcoming compilation Christmas record released by Myrrh Records.

The song from Amy's album "Heart In Motion" hit the charts as the number one song in April of 1991.

Gill, Grant engaged to marry (excerpt from Rolling Stone mag) :
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Country singer Vince Gill and gospel-pop star Amy Grant are engaged.
"I can confirm that they are getting married," said Erin Morris, Gill's spokeswoman. "Other than that, they'd like to protect their privacy."
Grant, 39, is perhaps the biggest name in the contemporary Christian music industry whose pop hits include Baby Baby and That's What Love is For, was divorced from Christian singer Gary Chapman in June.
Gill, 42, is among the biggest stars in country music, with hits including Go Rest High on That Mountain and I Still Believe in You. He was divorced from singer Janis Gill in 1997.
On Wednesday, February 2nd 2000, Amy is on ABC's "The View". Check your local listings for exact times.
