Happy Birthday Amy !
As a kind of birthday celebration we are updating the album audio files within the next weeks for providing a better quality standard. Furthermore we'll complete audio samples for her albums that currently do not yet offer previews.
This is also a good opportunity to say thank you to all of our devoted fans and valued visitors for making AmyGrant.de the most popular web site dedicated to Amy Grant on the net for several years !

Although we have had the new audio files from "Simple Things" ready several weeks ago, we have been requested by the management not to provide audio clips of all the songs before Amy's record company has come up with them.

Well, last week Word revealed the clips to the general public, so now we're allowed to follow with clips on this site. Hopefully you'll love the new sounds as much as we do :-)

Amy Grant received a special 25th anniversary award at the annual ASCAP Christian Music Awards dinner. Amy has been an ASCAP writer for all 25 years of her career and is only the 4th artist ever to have received the prestigious "Voice of Music Award" (other recipients include Garth Brooks, Diane Warren and George Strait). Besides Bart Millard won "Songwriter Of The Year" for the song "I Can Only Imagine".

Amy's official fan club "Friends Of Amy (FOA)" changes. The FOA newsletter for USD 10,- per year will be discontinued effective in the middle of this month. The new service will be an online community in the form of a members area on Amy's web site for USD 40,- per year.

KLOVE network made an interview with Amy. Jon and Sherry Rivers in addition played two new songs called "Eye To Eye" and "Simple Things" from the upcoming album.

It is rumoured that a first single will be played on the radio at the end of May or rather at the beginning of June this year.

A new and official release date for Amy's upcoming studio album has been announced. According to Jennifer Cooke at Blanton Harrell Cooke & Corzine, Amy's management company, the new record (tentatively titled "Simple Things") will hit stores on August 12, 2003.

Many of you asked about the next alblum's release date, here's the official statement from Amy's management :
FROM BLANTON HARREL COOKE & CORZINE: "The official release date for the album "Simple Things" has not been set yet, but it should be coming out in either late May '03 or June '03. There have been several unofficial release dates posted on various websites, but none of these have ever been confirmed by our management company or the record companies involved. The album was only recently completed and we are now in the midst of scheduling a release date for both the single and the album as well as setting up our promotional and press schedule. We will keep you posted as soon as we have any dates to confirm."

Amy's record companies Interscope & Warner Bros. Christian have confirmed that the release date of the upcoming studio album titled "Simple Things" at the end of march 2003 will not be held. A new release date is not yet fixed.

Obschon wir die neuen Audio-Dateien zu "Simple Things" schon seit mehreren Wochen haben, sind wir vom Management gebeten worden nicht zu allen Liedern Audio-Clips anzubieten, solange Amy's Plattenfirma sie nicht veröffentlicht hat.

Nun, letzte Woche enthüllte Word die Clips der Öffentlichkeit, also dürfen wir nun mit Clips auf dieser WebSite folgen. Hoffentlich liebst Du die neuen Sounds so sehr wie wir :-)

Ein neues und offizielles Veröffentlichungsdatum für Amy's bevorstehendes Studio-Album ist bekanntgegeben worden. Bezugnehmend auf Jennifer Cooke von Blanton Harrell Cooke & Corzine, Amy's Management, soll die neue Platte (mit Vorbehalt "Simple Things" betitelt) am 12. August 2003 in die amerikanischen Läden kommen.

Viele haben nach dem Veröffentlichungsdatum des nächsten Albums gefragt, hier die offizielle Antwort von Amy's Management :
VON BLANTON HARREL COOKE & CORZINE: "Das offizielle Veröffentlichungsdatum für das Album "Simple Things" ist noch nicht festgesetzt worden, aber es sollte entweder Ende Mai 2003 oder Juni 2003 herauskommen. Es sind verschiedene nicht offizielle Veröffentlichungstermine auf verschiedenen WebSites ausgegeben worden, aber keiner davon ist jemals von unserem Management oder den beteiligten Plattenfirmen bestätigt worden. Das Album ist erst kürzlich fertiggestellt worden und wir sind nun mittendrin einen Zeitplan für die erste Single und das Album zu planen, ebenso für Promotion- und Presseaktivitäten. Wir werden Sie informieren, sobald wir irgendwelche Termine bekanntzugeben haben."

Amy's Plattenfirmen Interscope & Warner Bros. Christian haben erklärt, daß der Veröffentlichungstermin des nächsten Studio-Albums mit dem Titel "Simple Things" für Ende März 2003 nicht stattfinden wird. Ein neuer Veröffentlichungstermin steht noch nicht fest.
